Often times we let our minds be filled with so much JUNK. Our thoughts are constantly occupied by different, people, things, and circumstances. But God wants to be the one who occupies your mind. He wants to be the center of your universe and be in “your head”

God Belongs in My City – Dallas!!!
I’m super excited to take some time to tell you guys about a
ministry I’m involved in called God Belongs In My City – Dallas.
God Belongs In My City was a movement that started out in
New York City as a response to atheist billboards that said “A Million New
Yorkers Are Good Without God. Are You?” Young people took to the streets in
prayer and marched declaring that God belongs in their city.
The movement has now spread and has come to Dallas. We are
doing our own march to let both the city and God know that we want him here in
Dallas Texas!
So when is this happening? February 25th, 2012.
If you live in Dallas or the surrounding areas this is your opportunity to come
out and walk with us as we pray for the city of Dallas, for all its residents
and its people in office. Now is the time to let the world know God belongs in
MY city!

Those crummy anxious thoughts…
Have you had one of those days you really want to take a nap because your exhausted, your week has been super busy and as you lay there your mind is going 100 miles per hour, your heart feels like its about leap out of your chest and your feet just keep tapping away? Well if you haven’t count your self lucky… I have those moments all the time.
Some days I can just feel the anxiety swell up in me and I know its going to be another sleepless night, but what do we do when we feel this way?
Phillipians 4:6 gives us some great insight into the solution to this problem…
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
The Lord wants us to come to
Him with that anxiety, to put what ever is causing those anxious thoughts in his hands. When those feelings arise God’s command to us is to let him know, to come before him and ask for his help.
The key here is the word “thanksgiving.” Many of us (including myself) are quick to come to God with a problem, but we come complaining, our attitude is one of “why me God?” The Lord’s desire is for us to have so much faith in his Good Work and Sovereign Will that even in the midst of that anxiety we thank him.
So today thank him, even in the middle of what ever situation your facing. Thank him for his blessings and make your request known to him. Let The Holy Spirit comfort you through the knowledge that the Father is in control. I know it’s hard to let go, this little message is as much for me as it is for you, but when we let God control every part of our lives and we learn to live with a thankful heart the anxiety of daily life begins to fade. And when it does we are able to focus on what really matters…Learning how to serving and worship God.

You: Why I do what I do…
I do this because I love each and every person who reads this, who hears my music and who hears me speak.
My first purpose is to tell people about who Christ is, to show them that true life is found in Him and that apart from God’s grace we are dead in our sin. My passion is to bring you closer to God and to bring light to the darkest places.
My second purpose is to help those who are already part of the body of Christ discover and achieve their purpose. I serve to inspire, inform and correct. My deepest desire for those individuals is that they be able to develop their gifts and serve in a way that will impact the world around them. The world isn’t changed by just one person doing one great work, but by many Christians working collectively as a body to do many small works.
My purpose in life is to help you develop your gifts.
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully (Romans 12:4-8).
So if you follow me on twitter, if you see my blog, hear my music…you’ll see I post inspirational quotes, I say things to uplift, and I give you real life advice. I want to engage you where you are at, in the real world, with all its challenges and problems. At the end of the day Christ taught us to live out our faith. The Christian life is wholistic, it encompasses every part of our lives, not just church on Sunday.
So at the end of the day I do all this because I love you, because I care and I want you to achieve your maximum potential. If your ready for that then join me on this journey…we can grow together.
